Nobody is going to be sorry to say goodbye to thei last week of Spring here in Ireland. Tomorrow the !st of May is , officially, Summer. The may blossoms are being tossed by the recent storm, but the appleblossom is in full bloom. Dont forget to wash your face in the morning dew tomorrow. Supposed to guarantee beauty! I never tried it….

Bluebells in Ballyannan Wood.

It’s that time of year again when Midleton’s best -kept secter, ballyannan wood is awash with a haze of blue as drifts of bluebells spread under the trees. Everywhere you go in the wood, there are thousands of those magical flowers pushing up towards the spring sunshine. Forget about abroad!
